The Ibis Electric Water Kettle is one of Bodum’s most classic products. Two things have been left untouched – the IBIS’ effectiveness in bringing water to a fast boil with its powerful 1500W heating element and its typical oval shape designed to take up as little counter space as possible. This model has a 57oz capacity and it has an easy to read water gauge built into the side with a Min and a Max water level indication. The on/off switch will automatically shut the kettle off as soon as the water boils. If there is an insufficient volume of water in the kettle a safety shut off will automatically disconnect the kettle if the heating element starts to overheat. It will reset automatically after a 10 min cool down period. There is a scale filter that clips into the lid.
